Community Life Mission, Philosophy, and Vision

The Office of Community Life at Saint Mary’s College fosters self-reflection and encourages personal responsibility through a variety of student centered conflict resolution and restorative practice services while supporting the Lasallian core principles.

These services recognize that conflict is a natural part of living in community and are designed to promote an environment which students can develop intellectually, spiritually, and socially while navigating rigorous discourse in an inclusive, safe, robust and socially just manner as well as acknowledging their impact on others.  

The Office of Community Life aspires to equip our community with tools to peacefully navigate conflict with integrity and respect while taking ownership and accountability for their actions
