Getting Involved
There are many ways to plunge into the Saint Mary’s community and meet people, from choosing among the more than 50 student organizations, to doing community service or studying abroad. Here's how to get involved.
Who knows where SMC will take you? All we know is you should definitely dive in—it’s worth it.

More of a social justice and community service type?
- The Catholic Institute for Lasallian Social Action (aka CILSA), the Intercultural Center, Center for Women & Gender Equity or one of our Student Awareness/Activism clubs might be more up your alley.
Like to cheer?
- Join Gael Force, the loudest, most enthusiastic group of sports fans anywhere.
Want to explore your faith?
- Find out what Mission and Ministry is all about.

- Keep up with Saint Mary's Athletics' stellar teams this fall.
Interested in playing club or intramural sports?
- Check out Campus Recreation and join one of our club sports (our rugby players were national champs in 2014 and 2015) or intramural teams from flag football to ping-pong.
Want to study abroad?
- Learn about ways to spend a semester overseas with the Center for International Programs—#gaelsgoglobal. Information meetings begin Aug. 30 (not for freshmen).
