The Professional MBA Program at Saint Mary’s College School of Economics and Business Administration requires all students to take the travel course GMAN 319, Doing Business in World Regions.  This course is intended to expand our students’ vision of how business operates worldwide by offering the chance to travel abroad for a 9-day program.  The schedule for each trip will include company visits to top corporations, lectures from leading faculty members and eye-opening cultural experiences.  In keeping with our missions Think Globally.  Lead Responsibly, students see firsthand the significance of the impact of these countries on American business, culture and the world economy.

“{GMAN 319} was truly a unique and valuable experience…The course engages students to become aware and learn how business operates there so we can be better prepared for leadership roles at global companies.”

~ Justin Frazier, EMBA Silicon Valley

"The quality of speakers, the material they presented and the companies we visited were the best we could have asked for and far exceeded any expectations I had going in to the trip.  This truly was the best trip I have ever been on and I could not replicate the experiences or the people with which I traveled."

~ Julio Gutierrez

"I now have a deeper curiosity for other cultures and would love to make new friendships from people all over the world."

~ Marie Heier

There hasn’t been one day since I landed back home that I haven’t thought about my experience in Korea.  My personal travels would have never allowed me to gain so much knowledge about a culture so quickly.  It wasn’t just a trip for the sake of traveling, it is quality beating quantity.

~ Nicholas Checkouras
