Business Administration

The School of Economics and Business Administration is accredited by AACSB and hosts the Undergraduate Business Administration (BUSAD) Program of Saint Mary’s College. The BUSAD program is the most highly sought major on campus because it is committed fully to preparing students for successful careers in a world of commerce that is ever-changing and increasingly complex. BUSAD majors gain technical expertise in a liberal arts learning environment where intellectual inquiry, ethical sensitivity, and communication skills are nurtured by an accomplished and caring faculty (not TA’s) in small classes. Many faculty members hail from countries outside the United States or have international business experience which contributes to the SEBA focus of “Think Globally, Lead Responsibly.”

Saint Mary’s Undergraduate Business Program offers an exciting curriculum, grounded in responsible leadership and global business. The general business program gives students a thorough grounding in all functional areas of business. For those interested in an in-depth study of a particular discipline, the Undergraduate Business Program offers a six concentrations: Business Analytics, Digital Media, Entrepreneurship, Finance, Global Business, and Marketing. All of these programs prepare students for jobs in consulting, financial management, web-based marketing, banking, high tech, banking, and commerce. 85% of graduating seniors are either employed or attend graduate school or law school upon commencement.

Exciting opportunities for student engagement and development lie outside of the classroom as well. “Career Gateway” is a four-year professional development program with a wide variety of workshops taught by industry leaders. Some topics include: personal branding, personal financial management, cross-cultural skills, technology and social media.

Additionally, the SEBA Undergraduate Career Services Office helps sutdents land internships and jobs and get personalized assistance with resume writing and interviewing skills.
