MFA in Dance Program presents at the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA) Online Conference

The MFA in Dance Program at Saint Mary’s College of California is excited to announce that a group of three alumni (KJ Dahlaw, Lisa Tenorio, Liz Cozad) and three current students (Amy Kubat, Bela Watson and Kristie Martinez) will lead a panel discussion at the International Somatic Movement Education and Therapy Association (ISMETA) Online Conference on March 4th at 12:50 pm (PST).

This event is organized by ISMETA in partnership with Pacifica Graduate Institute. The presentation on research in somatics will offer a variety of research examining their creative practice and theoretical work developed during their graduate studies at Saint Mary's College. Professor Rosana Barragan will facilitate the panel highlighting how the unique pillars of Saint Mary's MFA in Dance curriculum--choreography, somatics, and social justice--intersect.

For more information about SMC's presence at the conference and the online event titled, Engaging Embodiment: Somatic Applications for Health, Education, and Social Justice visit: https://ismeta.org/.
