At the Kalmanovitz School of Education, we are unwavering in our commitment to Saint Mary's College’s Lasallian values of Respect, Faith, Education, Inclusiveness, and Social Justice. With the global community just beginning to emerge from the trauma, social isolation, and life altering impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic, our hearts and minds are gripped anew with concern over the tragic war unfolding in Ukraine. It is awe-inspiring to witness tremendous grit and conviction as the Ukrainian people defend their homeland from tyranny. Their courage is undeniable. In solidarity, we pray that peace, justice, and freedom prevail.

Living Lasallian means empowering students to become whole persons — intellectually, socially, emotionally and spiritually. Lasallian education is grounded in the belief that God is a living presence in all our lives. We strive to bring our Lasallian values to our everyday work with those we serve. It is our pleasure to share with you the various ways in which these values are informing recent community engagements, innovations, and accomplishments from the KSOE. I invite you to learn more about our work at KSOE, and let’s stay connected.

Sincerely,

Carol Ann Gittens, PhD
Dean, Kalmanovitz School of Education
