What’s required for admissions?

  • Application and $50 fee. Apply online.

  • Statement of objectives and professional goals: Tell us why you’re interested in this program.

  • One official transcript from each college or university attended (unofficial copies may be embedded in your application and will act as placeholders until original transcripts are received).  Send Official Transcripts to KSOE, PMB 4350, Moraga, CA 94575-4350

  • Scanned copies of all your credentials. You must possess a baccalaureate degree and one of the following valid CA Clear Credentials: Designated Subjects Teaching Credential (Single Subject, Multiple Subject, Special Education, etc.), Pupil Personnel Services, Health Services, Library Media Teacher Services, or Clinical or Rehabilitative Services

  • Proof of five years of teaching experience with a clear teaching credential; complete and submit Verification of Experience form 

  • Three current letters of recommendation (uploaded to your application directly by your recommenders). Letters of recommendation must be received for your file to be deemed complete and ready for review; however, they DO NOT need to be received by admissions prior to submitting your application.

  • Satisfactory completion of the Basic Skills Requirement (BSR)

  • A current tuberculin test clearance report (test taken within last four years)

  • Proof of Insurance and/or the signed waiver (embedded in Application)

  • Interview with the program director (after all documents are submitted)
