JCL Core Menu

In addition to Justice, Community and Leadership program courses, JCL students must meet other major requirements in conjunction with the SMC Core by choosing from the following menus of selected core-designated courses.

Mathematical Understanding
(JCL and L4+1, 1 course; Edu and TFT: 2 courses): 
Students in the Edu and TFT concentrations must take MATH 1/MATH 5 and MATH 101/MATH 6. These are specially designed for future teachers. Students pursuing the JCL and L4+1 options must take either MATH 4 (Statistics) or MATH 10 (The Art and Practice of Math) or Psychology 105: Advanced Psychological Statistics

Scientific Understanding
Scientific Understanding (JCL and L4+1, 1 course; Edu and TFT, 2 courses):
Students in the Edu and TFT concentrations must take BIO 50/51 and one physical science course. Students in other concentrations select one course and lab from the menu
