Saint Mary's provides a top-notch competitive experience for its exceptional student-athletes. You can help keep that tradition alive, and keep them winning, with your support for Gael Athletics. Here are some of the ways you can help.

Athletics & Recreation Corridor

The centerpiece of the Athletics & Recreation Corridor (ARC) is the 52,000-square-foot Joseph L. Alioto Recreation Center, named for the 1937 Saint Mary's alumnus who served as mayor of San Francisco from 1968 to 1976. The Corridor, located on the west side of campus, includes a new 1,500-seat baseball park, aquatics center and an outdoor plaza linking the new site to the Korth Tennis Complex and Cottrell Softball Field. Since opening, the response has been overwhelmingly positive! In our first full year, we had 2,664 active members, including undergraduates, graduate students, and faculty/staff who came to the Alioto Recreation Center 157,000 times. Check out this video to see what donor support has made possible.

Gael Athletic Fund

Student-athletes benefit directly from your generous contributions to our Division 1 athletic programs. You can help ensure that all 17 men's and women's Gael teams stay competitive in the West Coast Conference and NCAA by supporting scholarships, academic support and other strategic initiatives for our student-athletes.

Team Funds

Your contributions to the team of your choice will make these possible:

  • Top-flight athletic programs
  • Stadium improvements
  • Pre-season and overseas travels
  • Trips to compete against other nationally ranked teams
  • Scouting and recruiting
  • Upgrades to technology and fitness equipment

The Tip Off Club

The Tip Off Club is an exclusive group of donors that support men’s basketball at Saint Mary’s. Gifts allow our student-athletes and coaches to compete among the NCAA’s elite programs and provide discretionary support for Coach Randy Bennett to use for facilities, equipment, scheduling, travel, and more.
