Chronicle of Higher Education Publishes Letter To Editor From ACTC Director J. Scott Lee

The Chronicle of Higher Education recently published a letter to the editor from J. Scott Lee, executive director of the Association for Core Texts and Courses headquartered at Saint Mary's College. Lee addresses concerns among faculty working in the liberal arts that accrediting agencies are increasingly insisting that instructors in a specific discipline teach in that discipline, such as history professors teaching history courses. Lee says the trend could limit some liberal arts professors from teaching interdisciplinary courses.
